The initial vehicle of this type was fitted with a Saladin turret and designated "Fire Support Vehicle (FSV)".
These were later upgraded using the Scorpion turret and redesignated "Medium Reconnaissance Vehicle (MRV)".
The MRV's had floatation panels added to the front and sides to compensate for the weight of the turret when swimming.
All MRV's have been withdrawn from service and are currently in storage.
