release from armorscale has a replacement late model barrel
for the 1:48 Tamiya Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer
(kit #35211)
The barrel is a single metal part with the muzzle hollowed out and fine rifling included inside the barrel for a very nice look in this small scale.
The metal barrel is designed slightly differently to the Tamiya kit barrel meaning there is some minor alterations required to fit to the kit mantlet.
This entails you drilling out the barrel hole in the mantlet to 2.9mm diameter and 5.0mm depth and then fitting the barrel into place, there is a small engraved line on the barrel as a guide to the visible barrel length.
A small instruction sheet is included indicating the minor alterations required to the Tamiya kit mantlet for a quick and easy update with the rifling adding additional detail definition to the kit.
Highly recommended.
