The main part is the extended canvas roof and like the Kübelwagen set the texture is a little overdone and could do with light sanding to smooth out the creases. The tilt frame and roof details are included on the inside as well as at the rear with rolled up window flap and securing strips.
The side contours of the cover match photos and have a better profile than the set from Panzerworks released earlier.
The replacement covered windscreen again has the tissue cover too tight exposing the screen details and re-covering will give a better effect while the covered spare wheel again has the tissue cover pulled too tight while photos show a looser fitting of the cover hiding the wheels details.
Also included are a selection of personal gear and equipment which is nicely cast and cab be added to the model to give a lived in feel.
The fit of the roof to the Tamiya kit body is good and if any trimming is needed it will only be very minor.
Conclusion:
Overall a nice update with the texture of the roof needing to be dulled down
a little and this and the accessories will add a different feel to the kit.
Recommended.
Thanks to MR Models and Frank Berger for the review set.
