WW2 Early War Russian Tanker
1/35th Figure Set No. 35005

This figure from Alpine is of an early WW2 Russian tanker in a relaxed pose leaning against the outside of the Dragon T-34-76 Mod 1940 turret hatch opening.

The simple figure is cast in upper and lower halves with two alternate heads in what is now standard in Alpine figure sets, one with the Russian leather tankers helmet and the other with an beret.

The figure can really only be posed in the large T-34-76 turret hatch as it has turret indentations under the folded arms and on the body but this is not a problem because that is what it is designed for.

Uniform details are very well done with crisp well defined details and excellent fabric folds with the only cleanup being the usual casting blocks to be removed. Assembly is very straight forward with good fit of the parts after cleanup without any filler needed on any of the joins.

There are no paining instructions included but the subject matter is well known and painting shouldn't be a problem with the colour photos on the box providing a guide.

Another simple yet well detailed figure that can be used on its own or in combination with set #35004 to fill the Dragon turret hatch, see also set #35007 if you want to use these together.
