DAK Panzer Officer

Another superb single figure from Taesung at Alpine Miniatures representing a DAK Panzer Officer and again has plenty of character looking to his right in a relaxed standing pose.
The figure is cast in a light grey resin with just the usual casting blocks to be removed although there were some minor casting seams on the inside of the legs as a consequence of the full body casting but nothing difficult to deal with.
The body is cast as a single part with separate arms and the usual alternate heads with one wearing a field cap and the other a forage cap with sand goggles and the body also includes a pair of binoculars included in the casting.
The detail on the uniform is superb with crisp well defined details and natural fabric folds and contours as well as all fabric seams and pocket details and the boot laces very sell done.
As with previous figures there is the unusual to add life to the figure and he is wearing a wrap around scarf that was often worn to ward off the cold desert nights and as mentioned adds that bit of character to the figure.
Assembly posed no problems at all although some very minor trimming was needed on the right arm/shoulder join but nothing dramatic and I also added wire pins to the necks to allow easy swapping of the heads, which is really a personal thing and no reflection of the head fit which is spot on.
A superb figure that will look good on its own or posed with a vehicle, the figure will certainly add life to whatever setting it is posed in.
