"Banzai Busters"
1/35th Figure Set No. WA35551
Review by Terry Ashley

This set has two US Marine figures in a small vignette with a prone wounded figure and standing figure calling out for assistance.

The figures are cast in the usual light cream resin with good uniform details, fabric folds and facial features with just the usual casting blocks and some small casting seams to be dealt with before assembly.

The wounded figure wears the jungle camouflage uniform with the body in one piece with separate right arm and bare head with the fit of the parts being very good without any need for filler and there is a bayonet and jungle knife to add as desired.

The standing figures wears the typical herringbone twill combat uniform in a dramatic pose with good uniform details, fabric folds and animated facial features as well as a tear in the knee to simulate some hard work.
The figure has the full body in one piece with separate arms and head with the right arm also having a Thompson SMG cast in place for good definition but the muzzle was missing due to a largish air bubble.
The fit of parts was again very good with small pins to ensure precise location and no filler or adjustments needed.

Conclusion:
A simple set with two well detailed figures for a dramatic and well animated scene and the figures can also be used individually if desired.

The figure set is available in the US from VLS and in Australia from Firestorm Models.

Thanks to VLS/ModelMecca for the review figure.
