Warriors WA 35559

1/35th Scale

Review by Terry Ashley

This is another simple figure with a G.I. in the process of filming a scene or action.

The figure is cast in light cream resin with six parts with the body in one piece with separate arms and head with separate steel helmet while both hands are cast separate holding the movie camera.

WarriorsThe only cleanup was the usual small casting blocks and a small casting seam down the back of one leg and arm with the fit of the parts being spot on without the need for trimming or filler except for the head which is cast complete except for hair while the inside of the helmet is filled in, meaning you either have to cut off the top of the head or hollow out the helmet to get them to fit and I chose to hollow out the helmet as this allowed for a bit more leeway with the fit.

There is also some pre-planning needed with this type figure as both arms have to be positioned exactly to meet the hands with the camera and to this end I simply held the arms in place with my fingers and super glued the hands/camera in place and once cured the arms are perfectly positioned and you can even take them away to give room to paint the face and then reposition the arms later knowing they will fit perfectly, in fact the arms are not glued to the body in the images below but just held in place by the angle of the arms against the body.

A simple yet attractive figure due to the pose that can be used in any scene to add a bit of activity and variety.
