This set #35574 consists of two figures cast in the usual light cream resin and consists of just ten resin parts (five for each figure) with only the usual casting blocks to be removed before assembly.

There is also some sizable casting seams on the lower legs to be removed and care will be needed so as not to remove any uniform and boot details in the process.

Both figures wear the typical USMC uniforms with Interceptor Body Armour and MOLLE gear with knee pads and one is armed with an M16A2 and the other an M16A2/M203 combination.

The full bodies with torso, legs and all equipment is cast in one piece with very good definition and this certainly makes assembly a breeze and shouldn’t pose any painting problems.

The separate arms have large location pins included and corresponding holes in the shoulders and this along with the contours of the uniforms at the arm/shoulder joins ensures precise location of the arms without any gaps at all. This is especially important where you have both hands holding a weapon as any slight miss-alignment will show up when fitting the weapon.

The weapons which are the correct size for 1:35th scale has the hands included in the casting with holes at the wrists that fit onto corresponding small pins on the ends of the arms. Even so to fit the M16/M203 I removed the locating pin on the right arm and had to open up the indentation under the shoulder for the gun stock for a snug fit but this was only minor adjustments.
The fit on the M16A2 on the other figure required very minor adjustments of the wrist/arm join but was quite good and the fit of the heads is also very good with small pins/holes for precise location.

Conclusion:
Two nicely detailed figures with very easy assembly and the action poses will allow a full fire fight scene when used in conjunction with set #35575 and are sure to be welcomed in the ever growing ranks of OIF figure sets.
