Basic assembly of the Carriage, cradle and trail arms

Barrel assembly. 1. assembled sleigh and barrel parts. 2. Slip the barrel tube though the sleigh with the recess for the mid collar extended out in front of the first sleigh bracket. 3. Attach the two collar halves around the barrel. 4. Slide the barrel and collar back into the first sleigh bracket. 5. Fit the two part rear breech extension support 6. Attach the assembled gun breech.



Overall views of the basic assembly

The trail travel lock brackets don't align with the carriage and you will need to reposition the
brackets further forward on the trails to align correctly. As the brackets are separate parts this is easily done (right).

Alternate towing hitch position for travel or firing mode.
