Decal Sheet No. AXT351009
Review by Terry Ashley

Echelon
This latest sheet continues the Panther series from Echelon Fine Details and provides markings for 9 specific Ausf.D and Ausf.A Panthers of Pz.Abt.51, Pz.Abt.52, 15.Pz.Rgt.,11.Pz.Div plus options for 10 more generic Pz.Abt.51 and Pz.Abt.52 vehicles.

The decal sheet is again printed by Microscale and is of excellent quality with clear well printed markings, good colour register and very thin carrier film that should react well with any decal setting solution.

Included on the sheet are the markings for the specific nine vehicles plus a large selection of black with white outline and red with white outline turret numbers and additional "panther head" emblems plus a selection of balkenkreuz. Added to this is a selection of stenciling found on Panthers to add a bit more detail to the markings.

The research into the sheet extends to providing the various styles of turret numbers for the specific vehicles, to the stenciling and different styles of Panther head emblems such as black and red with white outline, white with black and red outlines and clear with white outline with five of the Panthers carrying Zimmerit coating for a bit of variety.

The full colour instruction sheet is a feature of Echelon decals and this sheet is no exception with each vehicle having side, front and back views to show the markings as well as indicating where the zimmerit was either factory or field applied. The illustrations clearly show the decal placement as well as giving information on the camouflage scheme each was finished in.

Also included is a list of 15 notable references available to provide additional info on the sheets markings.

The 9 vehicles included on the sheet are below and there are also additional generic turret numbers to virtually make any vehicle from the featured units:

Conclusion:
Another well researched and presented decal sheet with plenty of choices for any of the available kits as they are not designed for any one kit in particular and the painting guides will also be of valuable assistance.

Highly recommended
