British Challenger 2
Kit No. 6003
1/35th Scale
First Look Review by John Harris

Yet another box for the Trumpeter Challenger 2, I will not repeat the reviews of the parts as they have been covered in the review here, it appears to be the same as the Airfix kit, except it was £12.50 (which is three pounds less than the Airfix kit in the UK) and like the Airfix version you only get the basic kit. However, you do get 'plans' (in 1/35th) for the extra 'Op Telic' additional armour. You get an extra sheet of decals (in addition to the standard Trumpeter one), plus a box with colour schemes printed on the bottom.

The decal options are "Gulf States Feb 2003", this lacks the extra side armour, and two vehicles "Bashra April 2003", one named 'Flanders', though all the decals provided (on Hobbycraft's sheet) are not called out on the box.

The Hobbycraft kit box actually states "Plastic Parts Provided by 'Trumpeter Models', and the colour schemes are captioned "Special thanks to Mike Morton ex-Royal Tank Regiment - and to Tony Engelhart and all our friends in the US & British militaries". Incidentally, Tony Engelhart is the man behind AEF Designs.

It strikes me that the kit is a good (and cheaper) option to use with any of the upgrades, overall there is little more to add to previous reviews.
