This set of replacement resin wheels from Hussar Productions is designed for the M3A1 White Scout Car kit in 1:35 scale which seems to have been around forever in one guise or another. The original kit was released by Peerless Max (kit #3507) back in the 1970s and then by Italeri (kit #231) and more recently by Zvezda (kit #3581) and Revell (kit #3078) with all being the same basic kit with some variations in accessories included.

The set consists of the 4 main wheels in light cream resin with just a very small casting plug to be removed and the resulting scar can easily be hidden at ground contact, there is some very fine resin film in the rim lightening holes which can easily be removed by passing a #11 blade around the opening using only light pressure. Note there is the valve stem included in one of the openings so take care not to cut this off during the cleanup.

Resin wheels inside and out

The quality of the resin casting is superb with the standard combat tread pattern included with the detail on the wheels rims very nicely done with well defined hubs, wheel nuts and rim contours as well the tyre valve stem as mentioned above. There is also inner hub detail that includes the inside of the hub bolts and also note the different hub detail for front and back wheels when fitting to the kit.

Fitting the resin wheels to any of the above kits is very straightforward as the resin wheels include the separate hub and rim parts of the kit wheels and all you need do is fit the resin wheels to the kit axle stubs without any further alterations.

This set of wheels from Hussar Productions are excellent with clean crisp retail and very little cleanup required.

The detail on the rims and hubs is very well done with good rim contours and the inner detail included and without any alterations to fit the the Scout Car kit make a simple update the add considerable detail to the kit wheels.
