This stowage set from Legend Productions is designed for the M7 Priest and can be used with the new Academy M7 Priest (kit #13210) or the older Italeri M7 Priest and as with previous Legends stowage sets has a large selection of items to use as required.
The set consists of approximately 60 pieces in cream resin which are cast to a very high standard without any blemishes such as air holes of the like and just the usual casting blocks to be removed. Some of these are quite substantial especially on the larger pieces but using the new resin saw from Lion Roar (#LT0026) made short work of these.
The largest part is a grouping of tarps and equipment designed for the rear engine deck which has very good definition on the items as well as the tarp and securing straps over the whole group and will come up well with careful painting. This part had the largest pouring block on the bottom which required a bit of effort to remove and by cutting a little from all sides you can reduce any damage to the part as well as ensuring the saw cut is going in the right direction.
Another large grouping is for the glacis which has some wooden crates, rolled tarp and packs as well as numerous individual rolled tarps, camo net and ruck sacks that can be added around the vehicle as required. Just remember when using these items to add straps or other means of support as velcro was not invented during WWII.
Added to these is a large selection of equipment with wooden crates, jerry cans with separate grab handles, US Steel helmets and water bottles plus ammo cases, a couple of buckets, oil cans and some wine bottles for something different.
Some of these items may not be seen strewn on a moving vehicle but are very useful for a diorama setting and the sheer number of pieces in the set may be more than you would see on one vehicle allowing you to use the set on two or more kits.
This is a very well cast and detailed set of stowage which while labeled for the M7 priest could just as well be used on any Sherman based vehicle. There is enough pieces in the set to use on your Priest as well as a Sherman and additional parts for the resulting diorama making the set good value.
Thanks to Legends Productions for the review set.
