Turret side panel Images
*Left and right sides of the Dragon turret, note rain channels
above doors do not extend far enough down at the back and the visors are
too pronounced in profile.
*Left and right sides of the Tristar turret, note correct
rain channels above doors and correct profile of visors.
*The middle bolt of the three above the left vison should be fractionally higher
on the Tristar kit.
*Turret side visors showing correct profile and sizes of the Tristar visors
compared to the plans and reference photos.
*Side
hatch parts for each kit.
*Issues with the turret hatches
*Key locks are round on the Dragon hatches with the correct rectangular locks
on the Tristar hatches
*Dragon visors with incorrect profile but correct on the Tristar visors,
note there should also be a small gap between pistol port bolts
and visor on the Tristar hatch, as the visor is a separate
part this is easy to address.
*Internal latch handle too small on Dragon hatch.
*There are two small sighting mirror brackets on the inside of the left hatch
only,
these are on the Dragon hatch
but not on the Tristar hatch.
*The Dragon visors have clear vision block inserts but are
open on the Tristar blocks.
*Also note the inside pistol ports face the same direction on both hatches,
i.e. with the port closest to the hinges on the left door and facing away from
the hinges on the right door.
The Dragon doors have these correctly oriented and with the
ports being separate parts on the Tristar doors you can attach
them correctly but watch this as the instructions show the left door port
facing the wrong way.
*The Dragon hatches are too small in depth and slightly too long when compared
to the plans.
This may come about because if you lay the hatches directly onto the plans
the Dragon hatches are the
same size as the plans, but you must take into account the sides of the turret
are on an angle and the flat plans distort this measurement.
You must check
the size against the
side profile plans to get the correct sizes which show the results as below.
