The barrel is finely turned in three pieces with the muzzle drilled out by about 10mm and the fit of the segments is to precise tolerances. There should also be a fine weld seam down the right side of the fume extractor and four bolt heads on the face which can easily be added using your favourite method, I used a length of thin sprue attached with cyanoacrylate and then softened with Tenax-7R to add the weld texture with the head of a small screwdriver. Note the orientation of the weld seam to the four bolts when fitting the barrel together.
Fitting to the Tamiya kit:
The barrel fits directly into the Tamiya mantlet (part C37) but you
will need to drill out a 5mm hole in the mantlet to accept the barrel shaft.
If
you
attach the large barrel collar only it is possible to add the full barrel at
any time which may help during the kit assembly?
A nicely rendered barrel that will add that little bit extra to any of the T-62 kit.
Recommended.
Thanks to Dmitriy from Model Point US for the review sample.
